A form of viral release in which the nucleocapsid evaginates from the host plasma membrane system, resulting in envelopment of the virus without triggering cell lysis. The process by which a virus becomes free of a host cell either by the lysis of the host cell or by a non-lytic mechanism. A form of viral release in which the nucleocapsid evaginates from the host endoplasmic reticulum membrane system, resulting in envelopment of the virus without triggering cell lysis. A form of viral release in which the nucleocapsid evaginates from the host Golgi membrane system, resulting in envelopment of the virus without triggering cell lysis. A form of viral release in which the viral particles bud out through cellular membranes without causing cell lysis. It is also a form of viral envelopment. The release of virion particles from the cell that does not result in cell lysis.
