Any process that results in the specification, formation or maintenance of the physical structure of eukaryotic chromatin. The movement of nucleosomes along a DNA fragment. A process that is carried out at the cellular level which results in the assembly, arrangement of constituent parts, or disassembly of one or more nucleosomes. Dynamic structural changes to eukaryotic chromatin occurring throughout the cell division cycle. These changes range from the local changes necessary for transcriptional regulation to global changes necessary for chromosome segregation. Any process carried out at the cellular level by which macromolecules aggregate, disaggregate, or are modified, resulting in the formation, disassembly, or alteration of a macromolecular complex. The alteration of DNA or protein in chromatin, which may result in changing the chromatin structure.
