The directed movement of a mitochondrion along a microfilament, mediated by motor proteins. The directed movement of substances along cytoskeletal elements such as microfilaments or microtubules within a cell. Any cellular process that depends upon or alters the actin cytoskeleton, that part of the cytoskeleton comprising actin filaments and their associated proteins. Movement of organelles or other particles along actin filaments, or sliding of actin filaments past each other, mediated by motor proteins. The actin filament-based movement by which cytoplasmic actin filaments slide past one another resulting in a contraction that propels the cell from one place to another. Any process that is carried out at the cellular level, but not necessarily restricted to a single cell. For example, cell communication occurs among more than one cell, but occurs at the cellular level. The directed movement of the nucleus along microfilaments within the cell, mediated by motor proteins. Movement of a vesicle along an actin filament, mediated by motor proteins. The directed movement of substances within a cell. The sliding movement of actin thin filaments and myosin thick filaments past each other.
