The controlled shedding of floral organs. Any process that modulates the rate, frequency, or extent of floral organ abscission, the controlled shedding of floral organs. The process whereby an activated receptor conveys information down the signaling pathway, resulting in a change in the function or state of a cell. Any process that modulates the frequency, rate or extent of a cellular process, any of those that are carried out at the cellular level, but are not necessarily restricted to a single cell. For example, cell communication occurs among more than one cell, but occurs at the cellular level. The process whereby a signal is released and/or conveyed from one location to another. Any process that modulates the frequency, rate or extent of flower development. Any series of molecular signals in which a small monomeric GTPase relays one or more of the signals that increases the rate or extent of floral organ abscission. The cascade of processes by which a signal interacts with a receptor, causing a change in the level or activity of a second messenger or other downstream target, and ultimately modulating the rate, or extent of floral organ abscission.
