Catalysis of the reaction: 8-oxo-7,8-dihydrodeoxyguanosine-triphosphate (8-oxo-dGTP) + H2O = 8-oxo-7,8-dihydrodeoxyguanosine phosphate (8-oxo-dGMP) + diphosphate. 8-Oxo-dGTP is the oxidised form of the free guanine nucleotide and can act as a potent mutagenic substrate for DNA synthesis causing transversion mutations. 8-oxo-dGTPase hydrolyses 8-Oxo-dGTP to its monophosphate form to prevent the misincorporation of 8-oxo-dGTP into cellular DNA. Catalysis of the hydrolysis of a pyrophosphate bond between two phosphate groups, leaving one phosphate on each of the two fragments. Catalysis of the reaction: deoxy-ATP + H2O = dAMP + diphosphate. Catalysis of the reaction: H2O + a nucleoside triphosphate = pyrophosphate + a nucleotide. Catalysis of the reaction: dUTP + H2O = dUMP + diphosphate. Catalysis of the hydrolysis of any acid anhydride which contains phosphorus. Catalysis of the reaction: ATP + H2O = AMP + diphosphate. Catalysis of the reaction: 8-oxo-7,8-dihydroguanosine triphosphate (8-Oxo-GTP) = 8-oxo-7,8-dihydroguanosine phosphate (8-Oxo-GMP) + diphosphate. 8-Oxo-GTP is the oxidised form of the free guanine nucleotide and can act as a potent mutagenic substrate for transcription. Catalysis of the reaction: dCTP + H2O = dCMP + diphosphate.
