Any complex that mediates dynamic changes in eukaryotic chromatin. A four subunit ISWI-containing protein complex that facilitates nucleosome mobility and transcriptional activation in an ATP-dependent manner. In contrast to other chromatin remodeling complexes, the ATPase activity of NURF requires nucleosomes rather than free DNA or histones. Any chromatin remodeling complex that contains an ATPase subunit of the ISWI family.
