Catalysis of the transfer of nucleic acids from one side of a membrane to the other. Nucleic acids are single or double-stranded polynucleotides involved in the storage, transmission and transfer of genetic information. Catalysis of the transfer of a nucleoside, a nucleobase linked to either beta-D-ribofuranose (ribonucleoside) or 2-deoxy-beta-D-ribofuranose, (a deoxyribonucleotide) from one side of a membrane to the other. Enables the transfer of a specific substance or group of related substances from one side of a membrane to the other. Enables the transfer of a substance from one side of a membrane to the other. Enables the directed movement of a specific substance or group of related substances (such as macromolecules, small molecules, ions) into, out of, within or between cells. Catalysis of the transfer of a nucleotide, any compound consisting of a nucleoside that is esterified with (ortho)phosphate, from one side of a membrane to the other. Catalysis of the transfer of a nucleobase, any nitrogenous base that is a constituent of a nucleoside, nucleotide, or nucleic acidfrom one side of a membrane to the other. Catalysis of the transfer of protein-DNA complexes from one side of a membrane to the other. Catalysis of the transfer of nucleobases, nucleosides, nucleotides and nucleic acids from one side of a membrane to the other.
